Both Barcelona and Real Madrid are admirers of the 26-year-old, whose current deal runs out in 18 months.When asked by reporters about Eriksen’s situation, Pochettino stressed it was something out of his control.He said: “Football is dynamic. It’s about interests the manager sometimes can’t manage.“Eriksen is important to us. You’d like this type of player with you, but it’s a negotiation. “It would be fantastic if he commits long-term but he has every right to do what he wants.”3

The Dane, who has 18 months remaining on his current deal, has been in majestic form for Spurs this season

Elsewhere, Mousa Demebele is also yet to put pen-to-paper on a new deal at White Hart Lane, with the Belgian attracting interest from the Chinese Super League.And Pochettino confirmed there is no update on the 31-year-old’s future, with the midfielder out of contract at the end of the season.He added: “No. There is still no news. No news, again like Christian Eriksen a different situation it is not only in our hands.“In that business there are different parties that are involved, then it is about to negotiate, to talk, and see what the different parties want.”
