Jan Vertonghen was spotted leaving the Johan Cruyff Arena on crutches following Tottenhams Champions League success against Ajax.The defender played the full 90 minutes in Amsterdam as Spurs completed a stunning second half comeback to book their place in the final next month.

Reports on Thursday claimed the injury is not too serious, with the crutches only a precaution due to a ‘minor’ ankle issue.The 32-year-old played Wednesday’s match in a face mask to protect his nose after injuring it during last week’s first leg tie.
