Celtic manager and former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has defended Jurgen Klopp over his wild celebration of the Reds late winner in Sundays Merseyside derby.Klopp has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association after he invaded the pitch when celebrating Divock Origis injury-time goal.It was a dramatic finale at Anfield as, after missed chances from both teams, Origi went from forgotten man to derby hero with his late header which sealed a 1-0 victory against Everton.2

Klopp responded by sprinting onto the pitch to hug goalkeeper Alisson, before running and fist-pumping back to his dugout to celebrate with his backroom staff.Everton manager Marco Silva was not impressed and Klopp apologised for his actions following the full-time whistle, saying he ‘couldn’t stop’ himself.His celebrations sparked debate on Monday, with many hailing the managers passion on the touchline, while others branded Klopps celebration as disrespectful and worthy of a touchline ban.

The Liverpool boss was hit with an FA charge of misconduct on Monday, but Rodgers echoed Pep Guardiola’s view that every manager has been in the same position – especially in emotionally charged games like the Merseyside and Old Firm derbies.Speaking on Tuesdays Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, the Celtic boss said: We all have our moments.Im very focused in the game and sometimes especially in those moments when you score, because thats a period when you can be vulnerable straight after.But Ive had those moments, I know when weve scored at Ibrox Ive run up the touchline.2
