Liverpool forward Dominic Solanke will not be signing for Rangers on loan in January, sources close to the Premier League club have told talkSPORT.Mid-morning host Jim White was told by an Anfield contact that there is no chance of the 21-year-old linking up with Steven Gerrard at Ibrox when the transfer window re-opens in the New Year.2

Solanke has been linked with a move to Glasgow after starring for Englands Under-21 side over the international break.The young striker has been unable to force his way into Jurgen Klopps Liverpool team this season. He is yet to make a first-team appearance and has been reduced to playing for the club’s U23s.But he has once again showed his ability in a Young Lions shirt, scoring two goals apiece in back-to-back wins over Italy and Denmark.

Solanke has wanted by a number of clubs ahead of the January transfer window, with Crystal Palace thought to be among the Premier League clubs interested in giving him a shot at more regular football.Jurgen Klopp discussed Solankes situation at Liverpool ahead of Saturdays clash against Watford, and suggested a loan deal may be possible for the young striker.The situation here is a bit difficult, you all see it, but if Dom continues like he did so far then everything will be fine, 100 per cent, said the German boss.2
