Ryan Giggs believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has put himself firmly in the running to be given the Manchester United job on a permanent basis.Since his appointment as caretaker manager in December, Solskjaer has lifted the gloom at Old Trafford and led the side to seven wins from seven games.It has been a miraculous turnaround, given the teams previous form under former boss Jose Mourinho and has reignited the clubs hopes for a top-four Premier League finish.2

He has also helped reinvigorate several of the clubs under-performing players, with Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba both starring with key roles under the Norwegian.And Old Trafford legend Giggs believes his former team-mate has given the board some real food for thought.Its great – at the moment everyones enjoying it, the Wales manager told talkSPORT host Jim White. The football were playing, the performances the likes of Marcus Rashford are producing, everyone is smiling again and its great to see.Im really pleased for Ole, hes a great lad and if he carries on then we have a big decision to make I think!United currently sit sixth in the table, but their return to form has seen them pull level on points with fifth-placed Arsenal and move to within just three of Chelsea in fourth.And Giggs is hopeful Solskjaer can guide the team to a Champions League place.2
