The FA said Sturridge’s alleged breaches were in relation to passing on information about players, managers, team selection or disciplinary matters, which was not publicly available at the time.A statement from the FA website read: “Daniel Sturridge has been charged with misconduct in relation to alleged breaches ofThe FAs Betting Rules, specifically in relation to Rule E8(1)(a)(ii) and Rule E8(1)(b), during the period of January 2018.“He has until 6pm on Tuesday 20 November 2018 to respond to the charge.” According to The Sun, Sturridge has been charged for betting on transfers of players and managers, and is believed to have used a third party.The 29-year-old could now face a fine and lengthy ban, depending on the severity of the incident.He has until 6pm on November 20 to respond to the charge.
